This enchanting little wildflower provides a froth of small bright blue flowers with white or yellow centres. Naturally found in woodlands, it enjoys damp conditions and will do well bordering ponds, though it is content in most garden situations. Very versatile, plant at the front of borders, along paths in containers and window boxes. It will complement most spring flowers too, so can be used as a backdrop to taller tulips and as underplanting to roses and shrubs. It will easily self naturalise.
POLLINATORS: A good provider of early nectar and pollen for bees, butterflies and hoverflies.
