This native perennial wildflower can be found growing in rough grassland, hedgebanks and roadsides.  It is actually the same as the aromatic meditteranean herb oregano, however, as it grows in our cooler climate it has a slightly milder flavour.

It's small pink flower clusters are an excellent food source for all kinds of insects and it is particularly noted for attracting all kinds of wildlife.

POLLINATORS:  Excellent source of pollen for the Short-tongued bumblebee, honeybee, Common carder bee and Solitary bee.
