This lovely, low growing native wildflower can be found on grasslands, meadows, pastures, lawns and wasteground.
A creeping perennial, it produces short spikes topped with pretty clusters of deep violet - rarely pink or white - tubular flowers.
A wonderful addition to lawns which can be left to grow a little between cuts as it provides a reliable and bountiful source of nectar and pollen for bees, wasps and butterflies. Great for wildlife patches in the garden and ground cover or even at the front of sunny / partially sunny borders.

Easy to please, this low growing beauty, once established, will grow happily in most growing conditions - providing many years of pollen and nectar to our pollinators and welcome colour for the garden.
