This very pretty daisy-like wildflower is somethimes also known as Chrysanthemum segetum. Its vibrant yellow flowers sit atop upright stems. A vigorous annual prolific in flowers through the season, it is almost extinct in the wild now which is sad as it is excellent for wildlife.
Easy to grow as it will tolerate most soils.
POLLINATORS: Corn marigolds are a great source of nectar for pollinating insects and will attract bees, butterflies, hoverflies and many beneficial insects.
NATURAL PEST CONTROL: The roots of marigolds produce a substance that repels nematodes, a type of soil pest.
