A native wildflower herb found near pools, lakes and rivers.  It thrives in moist spots in partial shade.  It has lovely rich green leaves and attractive red/brown stems which are topped in the summer by pretty white flowers which attract visiting bees.

Make the best of this versatile herb in the kitchen too - use it to make hot and cold tea, add a sprig or two to milkshakes, ice cream and hot chocolate or use as a garnish.
