One of our most common meadow wildflowers, bird's-foot-trefoil origates from grasslands, hill pastures, sand-dunes and meadows.
A member of the pea family it has small clusters of yellow flowers, sometimes tinged with orange, that look like slippers, followed by seed pods that look like bird's feet. A perfect source of nectar for pollinating insects, it is also a great food source for other widlife creatures
A low growing perennial plant it is suitable for front of border, pots or hanging baskets.
POLLINATORS: A particularly good source of nectar for Honeybees, Bumblebees, Solitary bees & moths
WILDLIFE: It is a larvael food plant for caterpillars of Common Blue, Silver-Studded Blue and Wood White butterflies.
